Veolia ES Solid Waste, Inc. announced that it has acquired the assets of two solid waste collection companies- Harry's Refuse Disposal, Inc. of Franklin, Pa., and Roy's Disposal of Spurgeon, Ind.
"These are tuck-in acquisitions in line with our strategy of purchasing assets of well run hauling companies in existing integrated markets," said Richard Burke, president and COO of Veolia ES Solid Waste, Inc. "We are pleased to have these two fine businesses in our Veolia family."
Harry's Refuse Disposal, Inc. ran a four-truck operation servicing residential and commercial customers. Through the acquisition, its business will tuck-in to Veolia's DuBois and Clarion area locations in Pennsylvania. Volumes from these roautes will now be internalized at Veolia ES's Greentree Landfill in Kersey, PA.
Roy's Disposal, which also serves residential and commercial customers, will tuck-in to Veolia's Evansville, IN, operation. Veolia will take over the company's existing customer routes and internalize the collected solid waste at the Veolia ES Blackfoot Landfill in Winslow, IN.
