Veolia ES Solid Waste Inc., based in Milwaukee, has acquired the assets of Guy’s Waste Services, located in the Macon, Ga., area. The deal includes all subsidiaries under Guy’s Waste Services, including KMA Transfer LLC and Ace Trash LLC. All the operations will now function as Veolia Environmental Services.
Veolia ES says the purchase opens up a new market for the company. The new assets include a transfer station, a commercial hauling operation and property in Byron, Ga.
More than 1,200 customers located in the five-county area will be serviced from this location.
“We view this acquisition as a true investment in the local community,” says Jim Long, president and CEO of Veolia ES Solid Waste. “Our aim is to grow this business so that it will eventually lead to more jobs and partnerships within the Macon community.”
