Van Dyk Baler Corp., Stamford, Conn., is busy fulfilling several North American orders for Dutch-made Bollegraaf and Lubo sorting and baling equipment.
Deffenbaugh Industries Inc. is equipping its Kansas City, Kan., material recovery facility with a single-stream sorting system provided by Van Dyk. The system, which includes a double deck newspaper screen and angled sorter, will allow the facility to process 20 tons per hour of single stream recyclables.
In Kentucky, the Lafayette-Fayetteville County government has purchased a complete Bollegraaf single stream sorting system to process the area’s recyclables. According to Van Dyk, the system has been custom-designed to fulfill the county’s needs, and is designed to process residential curbside material collected in the single stream method.
The system’s features include a paper container separator screen, also known as the “French banana” screen, made by Lubo. In addition to the paper/container separation provided by this screen, the system includes a fiber sort line and a container sort line featuring a magnet and eddy current separator.
And in Ohio, a Bollegraaf HBC 80 baler has been installed at Omaha Paper Stock’s Cincinnati facility. The baler will process primarily high grades and OCC. It is the second Bollegraaf baler purchased by Omaha Paper Stock. Last year the company took delivery of a Bollegraaf HBC 60 F at its Grand Island, Neb., facility.
