Companhia Vale do Rio Doce (Vale) has announced that it is increasing its price for iron ore shipments by $65 per metric ton for many of the top global steel makers.
In opting to hike the price, Vale noted that the increase is due to the continuation of tight contains on the global iron ore market.
The company has raised the price for ThyssenKrupp, Nisshin Steel, Sumitomo, Kobe Steel, JFE Steel and Nippon steel and Posco.
