The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency added the Davenport and Flagstaff smelter site in Salt Lake County, Utah, to the Superfund National Priorities List.
EPA proposed the Davenport and Flagstaff Smelters Site for the NPL in December 2000. Wastes from the two smelters contaminated soil in the area with lead and arsenic. The site includes several residential properties, a condominium complex and a number of undeveloped lots.Latest from Recycling Today
