US Shredder to Host Open House in Ohio

Equipment company will unveil its new 80108 shredder at the event.

The US Shredder and Castings Group will be hosting an open house event at its Youngstown, Ohio, manufacturing facility in early July.

Twice each day on Wednesday, July 7 and Thursday, July 8, at 9 a.m. and 1 p.m., there will be structured tours of the plant, where the company’s newly-designed 80108 automobile shredder is assembled.

The company has completely assembled a shredder at the facility, including rotor and castings. Presentations at the open house will include an overview of the company’s capabilities including its new hydraulic systems, shredder controls, conveyors and downstream products (ferrous and nonferrous separation systems) and its shredder wear parts programs, according to a news release from the company.

“We are extremely excited about unveiling our new shredder to the industry,” says US Shredder President Bill Tigner. “To date, [both] customers who have purchased our shredder and other industry experts all come away from their inspection with complete confidence that this is the best built, best designed, heaviest and most price-competitive shredder on the market,” he states.

“While most of the competition is taking weight out of their shredder or removing features, our focus has been simply on engineering and building the best--no compromises,” Tigner remarks. “The differences really are crystal clear.”

Those interested in attending can RSVP at (205) 999-7670 or email to bill.tigner@usshredder.com.
