The US Shredder and Castings Group has launched a new division that is geared toward the design, development and manufacturing of nonferrous systems. The division will focus on development of upgrading systems, as well as incorporating new technologies.
The company cited increased orders in upgrades and systems to work behind the company’s line of shredders as the key reason for the creation of the expansion.
The company also announced that it has hired Mick Erdos to head the division. Erdos formerly was national sales manager for SGM. The company also hired Drew DeLong for the division. US Shredder’s new office will be located in Cleveland.
“From our beginning, non ferrous systems and upgrades have been a tremendous part of our business,” says Bill Tigner, US Shredder’s president. We want to make sure we are incorporating the very best equipment and technology in our systems. It’s all about increased separation and recovery. Mick Erdos’ experience and knowledge, along with the expanded engineering capacity, will greatly support our continued growth in non ferrous recovery systems.”
