Brookhaven, Miss.-based US Shredder and Castings Group, in conjunction with several of its key suppliers, has announced that it now offers support and upgrades to existing Hammermill installations.
The program ranges from supplying cast and fabricated wear parts specifically built for Hammermills to rebuilding base, mid and top sections. The company can also upgrade older model Hammermills. According to a press release from the company, most of its Hammermill upgrades are engineered to use the existing foundations, reducing the overall cost of the project.” The company also builds and rebuilds spider and disc rotors to fit Hammermill machines.
“Our program allows the customer to increase his production by as much as 30 percent without the expense of completely changing out his shredder,” US Shredder President Bill Tigner says. “Often these shredders are operating on grandfathered permits that also allow the customer to upgrade his shredding system without getting local or state authorities involved in new permits.”
The company says it can also integrate new shredder operating control systems and water injection programs on these older shredders.
