The U.S. Shredder and Castings Group, Trussville, Alabama, has launched its fifth annual Castings for a Cure campaign. During the month of October, a portion of all the company’s castings sales will be donated to the fight against breast cancer.
The donations will be contributed in honor of company President Bill Tigner’s wife, Carla, a breast cancer survivor.
“Once again, our customers are partnering with us to fight breast cancer and promote awareness for a fifth year,” Tigner says.
As in previous years, the company says it has produced an original “2014 Castings for a Cure” casting that will be given to each customer that contributes. A larger casting will be given to the company that contributes the largest donation.
The U.S. Shredder and Castings Group offers scrap shredders, control systems, downstream systems, nonferrous recovery, air systems, scrap shears, balers and loggers, as well as shredder castings, service, engineering, construction and installation to the worldwide scrap industry.
