US Shredder and Castings to Assist Rifkin with Upgrade

US Shredder to supply conveyors for nonferrous cleaning system.

US Shredder and Castings Group, Brookhaven, Miss., has been chosen by Rifkin Scrap Iron and Metal Co. of Saginaw, Mich., to supply all of the conveyors its new nonferrous cleaning system. 

 

The system, which is designed to greatly increase the capacity of the shredder’s nonferrous product, will include new screens and eddy-currents and stainless steel separator supplied by Huron Valley Magnetics Division, Trenton, Mich.

 

According to David Rifkin, vice president of Rifkin Scrap Iron and Metal, “We chose US Shredder and Castings not only for the quality of equipment they supply, but their service and attention to detail.”

     

US Shredder President Bill Tigner says, “We were pleased to be selected by Rifkin Iron and Metal for this project. Our engineers worked closely with the customer input to produce an incredibly efficient system.” 

 

US Shredder says the system should be operational by the end of the year.
