Universal Recycling Technologies (URT), a Janesville, Wisconsin-based provider of secure electronics recycling and materials recovery solutions, has launched Nexloop, a circular materials platform aiming to help electronics manufacturers adopt recycled materials at scale.
Created and owned by URT, the company says Nexloop aims to address growing industry challenges around recycled-content mandates, carbon and Scope 3 reporting, global compliance and brand risk by delivering traceable, performance-driven circular materials that integrate into real-world supply chains.
URT says Nexloop differs from traditional recycling programs by bringing together compliance oversight, materials engineering and flexible supply chain integration. The platform aims to remove the risk, complexity and fragmentation that can slow or derail circular materials adoption, according to the company.

“The electronics industry deserves a better circular materials solution,” URT President Ken Thomas says. “Nexloop was built to meet that need—by combining compliance, performance and flexibility into one trusted platform.”
Through Nexloop, URT says manufacturers will gain access to Basel-compliant material flows; electronics-derived original equipment manufacturer- (OEM-) grade materials; verified chain of custody and environmental, social and governance (ESG) documentation; and flexible integration with existing suppliers, with additional support available.
The first application of the platform will be for the Nexloop Polymers Alliance, focused on circular plastics for electronics manufacturing. This initiative brings together URT, Santa Ana, California-based Hanil Eco Solutions, Shinil Chemical and BH Tech.
