Universal Recycling Technologies (URT), a full-service electronics recycler and an information technology asset disposition (ITAD) solutions provider headquartered in Janesville, Wisconsin, has announced Jeff Gloyd, vice president of sales and marketing, is leaving the company to pursue other opportunities.
Gloyd’s resignation as a senior executive and transition from his role at URT will be effective May 14. At that time, Ken Thomas, president, and other senior leaders within the organization will assume Gloyd’s responsibilities. Thomas stepped up as the company's president in January.
According to a news release from URT, Gloyd joined URT in 2013 as director of business development. He had a little more than a decade of experience in the reuse and recycling industry. Since then, he transitioned to become the company’s vice president of sales and marketing and has led the company’s sales and marketing efforts and strategic partnerships while developing new business initiatives.
“Jeff’s dedication, hard work and forward thinking has been instrumental in the success we as a company have been enjoying over the last eight years. The leadership he provided and developed in messaging the value URT brings has been key to winning and keeping profitable, sustainable business,” Thomas says. “Jeff has had a positive impact on all aspects of the business and leaves URT in a much stronger position than when he came. For that, we thank him.”
