Moore joins UNTHA UK from Industrial Shredding Systems (ISS). He has more than 25 years of industry experience, which includes the design, sales and supply of turnkey recycling and waste management solutions. He will support Marcus Brew, UNTHA UK’s sales director, with the development of refuse-derived fuel (RDF) and solid recovered fuel (SRF) market opportunities, particularly in southern England.

UNTHA UK says that it is becoming more involved in new projects in the RDF and SRF sectors following the launch of its XR waste shredder late last year. Moore also will play a part in devising shredding solutions for clients with WEEE, metal and plastic recycling requirements.

Chris Oldfield, UNTHA UK’s managing director, says that Moore’s expertise and background in the shredding business will be a great asset to the company. “Whilst new project requirements are often very straightforward—because we’ve operated at the heart of the shredding industry for so long—we tend to be approached by clients with more challenging briefs too.”

Oldfield continues, “Organizations realize we are innovative, and they know we strive to push boundaries in the fields of recycling and waste to energy. So we constantly look for talented industry professionals with a similar forward-thinking mindset to our own, to help service the exciting opportunities that we’re presented with.

“Gary’s extensive industry insight will really complement the expertise we already have within the team,” Oldfield adds.

“We are a company committed to continuous improvement, which sees us constantly looking to the future, for the benefit of our own business as well as that of our clients. We’ll therefore continue to invest in our people, our technology and our processes, to maintain the standards for which we are renowned. We hope to double our turnover in the next two years, and Gary’s appointment will prove crucial to us reaching this target,” Oldfield concludes.
