Untha UK has announced it has been nominated for a 2015 National Recycling Award 2015 in the Innovation of the Year – Equipment category. The company’s XR shredder is nominated in the awards program sponsored by United Kingdom-based publication Materials Recycling World.
Untha UK says in preparation for the awards it has organized graphs, statistics, trial findings, testimonials, particle sizes and efficiency readings that were submitted with its entry.
The winners of the awards will be announced at a ceremony July 1, 2015.
Prior to announcing the winners, Marcus Brew, Untha sales director, and Chris Oldfield, the company’s managing director, travelled to London where they presented the detailed award entry to the judges.
“We are told that the awards received an even greater number of entries this year, so to have been shortlisted is already a significant achievement for our team,” says Oldfield.
“After four years of pioneering R&D, design, engineering and testing, we have created a robust machine that we are incredibly proud of,” he continues. “Already it is reaping some fantastic results for clients, which is what we set out to achieve. Award recognition such as this, however, would be the icing on the cake.”
