United Recycling Reports Success on Earth Day Program
Company already planning for next year's event.

For the third consecutive year United Recycling Industries, Inc. has teamed with Illinois Senator John Millner for an annual Earth Day Electronics Recycling Event. On April 22nd, residents delivered 133,704 pounds of obsolete electronics to the company’s West Chicago, IL facility. Of that amount, more than 55,000 pounds of CRTs were collected.
URI was also registered as an official corporate and residential collection point for the “100 Percent Collection Initiative”, a two day nationwide Earth Day effort to divert 100,000 computer systems from local landfills The previous day URI received 305,777 pounds from their corporate clients, bringing their two day recycling total to 439,481 pounds.
