Dixons Group and Nelson Packaging bag environmental award.
Dixons Group, an electrical retailer based in the United Kingdom, and Nelson Packaging, the UK's largest producer of carrier bags, have won the Best Environmental Initiative award for the Group's new 100 percent recycled carrier bag at this year's Plastics Industry Awards.
Dixons Group became the first major retailer to introduce a fully-recycled 'Varigauge' carrier bag this past December. In the first month of introduction, Dixons' UK stores supplied customers with an estimated 3 million carrier bags.
