Doncaster Motor Spares, an auto salvage operation located in the United Kingdom, has become one of the first Authorized Treatment Facilities in the UK to have achieved recognition by the Consortium for Automotive Recycling as having successfully adopted its Operational Management System.
Doncaster Motor Spares, located in Doncaster, also achieved ISO 14001:2004 using the CARE approved ‘Operational Management System’ as a pathway.
The system has been developed by CARE in conjunction with Institute Assessment & Certification and certification is given to waste treatment centers that have committed to provide a high level of service to a certain standard.
This includes a commitment to develop and improve the day-to-day operation of every aspect of the business, with particular emphasis on compliance with environmental legislation and quality of service to its customers.
Richard Martin, managing director at Doncaster Motor Spares said: “We are delighted to be among the first ATF’s in the country to have received this accolade. We pride ourselves on being an environmentally focused business, and have put a lot of effort into achieving this standard. Our customers will take confidence in the fact that our status as a CARE OMS recognized operator reflects our on-going commitment, not only to the environment and ensuring full compliance with legislation, but ultimately to provide our customers with the best possible service.”
