U.S. Plastic Lumber Corp. announced that it is consolidating three of its facilities into larger existing facilities, and plans on leasing two of its resin processing facilities to other processing operations.
The company said that these moves are the final steps in reorganizing its manufacturing operations.
During the fourth quarter, the Fontana, Calif.; Denton, Md.; and Trenton, Tenn. plants will be closed and the equipment and manufacturing processes at these plants will be transferred to the Chicago, and Ocala, Fla. manufacturing locations.
In addition, USPL will discontinue raw material processing at its Auburn, Mass. and Chino, Calif. resin plants and lease these facilities to other raw material processors.
