Ball Corp., Coors Brewing Co., and the city of Golden, Co., announced plans for a recycling drop-off center in Golden for commingled aluminum, glass, steel and PET and HDPE plastic containers as well as mixed paper.
The recycling drop-off center will open early next month.
Ball and Coors will pay the monthly collection costs and collection container rental fees for recyclables deposited at the new drop-off center. Tri-R Recycling will pick up and process the recyclable materials. The city of Golden will provide the center's location and oversee its operation with volunteer help from the Lookout Mountain Youth Center Student Council.
