Tube City IMS Corp., a provider of products and services to steel mills and foundries throughout the United States, Canada and Europe, has announced that its Tube City Division has opened its first representative office in Beijing, China.
J. David Aronson, executive vice president outsourced purchasing, Tube City Division, Tube City IMS, says the launch of the office demonstrates the company’s long-term commitment to its customers and partners in the Chinese market.
“The opening of the Beijing office is part of the company’s ongoing efforts to expand internationally,” says Aronson. “The new office will allow the company to respond quickly to opportunities in a dynamic marketplace where significant growth is expected in the next decade. We look forward to long and fruitful business relationships between our company and China’s steel industry.”
Steven Liu will work in the office as a liaison with customers and suppliers to Tube City in the purchase and sale of scrap metal and other raw materials, as well as steel mill services, and presenting these products and services to potential new customers and suppliers. Prior to joining the company, Liu worked as a project manager for a Beijing-based power company.
