Tube City IMS LLC announced that several of its sites received a total of 31 Safety Awards from the National Slag Association for 2008.
The NSA Safety awards recognize superior performance as measured against Occupational Safety and Health Administration recordable injury rates. The awards were presented to the company during the NSA’s fall meeting in Pittsburgh earlier this month.“Tube City IMS is honored to receive these prestigious awards, said Raymond Kalouche, COO, Tube City IMS. “Safety is our highest priority at Tube City IMS and these awards represent the company’s hard work to ensuring a safe work environment for its teammates and customers. The Company’s operation in Tuscaloosa, AL, received the award for the “2008 Most Improved Job Sites for Safety.”
Operations in Beaumont, TX, and Belle Vernon, PA, each received two safety awards, one for “Job Sites with at Least 200,000 Hours since the Last Recordable Accident” and another for “Lowest Incident Rate” for employees.
