Tube City IMS has announced that the company’s subsidiary facility in Gent, Belgium has achieved Veiligheids Checklist voor Aannemers (VCA) certification and its facility in Fos Sur Mer, France has achieved Occupational Health and Safety Assessment Series 18001 certification.

"We are proud to have achieved these important certifications, and our team is to be commended for their efforts."
VCA is a health, safety and environmental recognition for contractors. This certification is recognized by the Belgium government’s Veritas Office for this type of certification.
OHSAS 18001 is a standard for having a comprehensive safety management system in place. The standards include five major elements: Environmental Health & Safety Policy; Planning; Implementation and Operation; Checking and Corrective Action; and Management Review.
