Trelleborg Wheel Systems has introduced an improved version of its established Monarch M2 solid tire for industrial applications such as material handling and ground support equipment.
The new M2 is a three-stage tire with wire beads in the heel and a tread compound engineered to provide longer tire life. The company says that its new version offers a more aggressive tread design in the larger sizes and is manufactured in a longer lasting compound that offers additional chip and chunk resistance, while retaining the same level of heat resistance, preventing premature tire failure.
Ydo Doornbos, Trelleborg Wheel Systems Americas managing director, says, “Field testing has proven that the Monarch M2 is truly a premium resilient tire providing industry-leading tire life. Market responsiveness is a core value for Trelleborg Wheel Systems and so we are very pleased to introduce the improved Monarch M2 with its more aggressive tread in larger sizes.”
