Tredegar Closing Texas Aluminum Extrusion Plant

Tredegar Corp. announced plans to close its aluminum extrusion plant in El Camp, Tex. The plant is scheduled to close by the end of November.

The company cited difficult markets and slowing demands as key reasons for closing its William L. Bonnell subsidiary.

The facility produces soft alloy aluminum extrusion products, primarily for the building and construction, distribution, transportation, electrical and consumer durables markets. After the closing Tredegar will continue to operate seven extrusion plants in North America.
