The Upper Darby, Pa., Zoning Hearing Board voted unanimously earlier this month to postpone making a decision for a planned recycling facility in Primos so the board can study the case.
Township officials and residents have voiced opposition to the plan. The property borders Upper Darby Township and Clifton Heights Borough.
The application calls for a special exception to permit recycling and roll off containers at Harmon's Recycling Inc. The application also asks for storage of empty containers.
Warren Harmon, who is seeking the special exception, told the board he wants to lease a portion of this property.
Last summer, following protests from residents and officials, the zoning board denied a special exception to Meade who wanted to establish Nuway Environmental, Ltd. at the site. Harmon said he has been in business for over 60 years and wants to continue serving the community.
