Toter is introducing a new 21-gallon cart, which, the company says, accommodates both automated and semi-automated handling. The cart, according to Toter, is ideal for pay-as-you–throw programs, single-stream recycling and segregating food wastes.
Toter is a manufacturer of residential and commercial collection carts.
“We created the new 21-gallon cart as a result of customer demand, particularly from the West Coast and Canada” says Jim Pickett vice president of municipal sales with Toter, a division of Wastequip. “This cart represents a strategic response by Toter to meet continually evolving needs related to waste recycling.”
The 21-gallon cart features Toter’s Rugged Rim technology that ensures a close fitting lid, which results in enhanced odor control and reduced attraction to vermin. Other key features include a sealed stop bar to prevent leakage, bottom wear strip for longer cart life, textured granite finish for enhanced appearance and a higher handle position for ease of handling.
In addition, the new 21-gallon cart accommodates interchangeable parts with other EVR II carts for reduced maintenance costs, and it carries the maximum American National Standards Institute load rating.
