"Winning Through Global Stewardship" will be the theme of the next "Take It Back!" conference, to be held March 6-7, 2002 in Las Vegas.
The conference, organized by Raymond Communications, Inc. and co-sponsored by AT&T Wireless, will be co-located with the National Packaging and Manufacturing Trade Show (Formerly Private Label Expo/Contract Packaging Expo) at the Las Vegas Convention Center.
The keynote speakers will include David Grant Lawrence, director of sustainable development and policy at the European Commission, supervising all waste issues. In addition, Toshihiko Fujii, director of the Japan Business Council Europe, will address Japan's new waste legislation, and efforts to lobby on the electronics directives in Europe.
The 2002 conference will have a slate of top international speakers, covering Europe, Asia and Latin America. The speakers will cover domestic and international packaging and electronics recycling issues, as well as some case histories from major companies.
The Day 2 plenary debate will look at the controversial plastics collection dilemma, including deposits. Another session will feature new technical solutions to recycling problems.
