The sensor-based sorting system designer and manufacturer Tomra Sorting Solutions has appointed Volker Rehrmann as its new head. Rehrmann joined Tomra Sorting Solutions’ Norwegian parent company, Tomra Systems ASA, in 2004 when it acquired Titech group where he held the position as technical director.

Prior to being appointed head of Tomra Sorting Solutions, Rehrmann was technical director of the division, responsible for technology and operations.

In addition to his role as head of Tomra Sorting Solutions, Rehrmann will remain group chief technology officer for Tomra Systems ASA.
Tomra Sorting Solutions designs and manufactures sensor-based technologies for sorting, peeling and process analytics for the food, recycling, mining and other industries.
