Tomra of North America, in partnership with the Glass Packaging Institute and VOSS Water, will provide New York City’s Madison Square Park Conservancy with three recycling machines for use during the organization’s Madison Square Music: Studio Series daytime concert events Sept. 19th and Sept. 26th in Madison Square Park. The collection event is being held in conjunction with GPI’s Recycle Glass Week, September 21st through 27th. The machines to be used -- TOMRA’s T63 reverse vending machines – collect, sort and compact used beverage containers – will allow people to dispose of glass, aluminum and plastic beverage containers. As part of the program, TOMRA, GPI, and VOSS Water will offer prizes—including iPod Shuffles, t-shirts, and more—at random, in appreciation of their donations. All deposit refund monies collected from containers recycled on the two days will be donated to the Madison Square Park Conservancy.
