The equipment company Tomra Sorting Solutions has appointed Jonathan Clarke global sales director for Tomra Sorting Recycling. In the position Clarke, who joined the company in 2006, will be responsible for overseeing the international sales of Tomra Sorting Recycling’s automated TITECH sorting systems.
Tomra Sorting Recycling supplies automated sorting systems under the TITECH name. Meanwhile, Tomra Sorting Solutions is a combination of three businesses: Tomra Sorting Recycling, Tomra Sorting Food and Tomra Sorting Mining. The parent company is Norway-based Tomra Systems ASA.
Clarke will be based in the U.K. and will oversee Tomra Sorting Recycling’s operations in the U.K., but will look to build the company’s profile and customer network internationally, with a specific focus on Europe, North America, China, South America and South East Asia. He will report into Tom Eng, senior vice president, head of Tomra Sorting Recycling.
“I’m thrilled to have this opportunity to expand on the already strong presence that Tomra Sorting Recycling has succeeded in establishing across many international markets. The waste and recycling infrastructure is just in its infancy in some of the regions we will be targeting, so introducing advanced sensor-based sorting technology will be both challenging and rewarding,” says Clarke.
