In Memoriam: Thomas Skodack

Donations in his memory can be made to Interlochen Center for the Arts.

Thomas (Tom) Skodack, a regional sales manager for Sennebogen LLC, Stanley, N.C., died of cancer April 13, 2010.

Although only with Sennebogen since January 2006, Skodack spent more than 30 years working in the material handling industry alone.

In his announcement to the Sennebogen organization, company President Constantino Lannes paid tribute to his friend whom he had known since 1995. “Tom was an inspiration to all of us. Everything I learned about the North American marketplace I learned from him. His passion to deliver only the best in terms of customer support is something that we share and brought us together as friends. Tom never spared any efforts to support customers. Regardless of how far away they were, what time of the day they reached him or what day of the week it was, when his help was needed, he was there for them.”

Skodack enjoyed living in the Midwest, as it allowed him to spend more time with his family and his grandchildren. A resident of Kansas City, Kan., he was born in 1946. Skodak is survived by his wife, Jamie, and his daughters Pia and Cara and his grandchildren Erik, Matthew, James and Achaia.

“We mourn the passing of Tom Skodack who during his time with Sennebogen contributed greatly to our ongoing success and was instrumental in bringing us to where we are today,” says Constantino Lannes. “To us, he provided a model to follow and live up to.”

Services were held Friday, April 16, 2010, at Penwell-Gabel Mortuary, Olathe, Kan.
