Formerly known as TITECH, TOMRA Sorting Recycling, a manufacturer of sensor-based sorting machinery used in the recycling industry, began a rebranding effort in 2012 to align with its parent company, Norway-based TOMRA Systems ASA.
The company recently announced the final step in that rebranding process, which is removing the TITECH name from its product portfolio while retaining the product family names. The new name change will be effective May 2015, with the rebranding expected to be completed by the end of this year, according to the company.
Commenting on the rebranding, Tomra Sorting Recycling Commercial Director Jonathan Clarke says, “By completing the rebrand within our business, we are significantly increasing the visibility of Tomra worldwide. Synergies in technologies across business streams have greatly enhanced Tomra Sorting’s ability to bring sensor-based sorting to new segments, markets and applications. We are better positioned to respond to customer and industry challenges faster than before while offering the best value products.”
TOMRA Sorting Recycling is represented in the North America by Wendt Corp., Buffalo, New York, and by Van Dyk Recycling Solutions, Stamford, Connecticut.
