The Tirex Corp. recently received a production order from Xerus Inc. for 10,000 lbs per month for six months renewable of Tirex's crumb rubber, produced by its patented cryogenic tire recycling technology, the TCS-1.
Xerus will use the crumb rubber to produce 40,000 mudflaps and tiles for athletic surfaces.
Tirex announced in April a joint venture between Tirex and Xerus to market and sell recycled rubber products.
Xerus began production after testing the crumb rubber against their customers' product specifications.
Xerus' customer for its mudflaps, Festival des Transporteurs Routiers du Quebec, intends to supply several transport organizations including the Quebec Government's Ministry of Transport. Xerus' tiles have been tested and will be produced for artificial athletic surfaces for a world renowned manufacturer.
Tirex plans to develop joint ventures with companies worldwide that will use the Rutex(tm) output of TCS Systems, to formulate and develop crumb rubber products created by the Tirex / Xerus alliance.
