Thompson Fabrication, a Wheatland, Pennsylvania-based manufacturer and distributor of waste containers, has acquired Midwest Dakota Dumpsters (MDD).
Based in Castlewood, South Dakota, Midwest Dakota Dumpsters is a manufacturer of waste containers that serves waste and hauling companies across the Midwest. The transaction closed Oct. 1.
“This acquisition significantly expands our footprint and allows us to cost-effectively serve the entire Midwest region,” Thompson Fabrication CEO Mark E. The acquisition of MDD aligns perfectly with our mission and enhances our ability to serve hauling companies with greater speed and scale.”
Thompson Fabrication says it intends to integrate MDD’s operations, employees and facilities into its existing platform. For the near term, MDD will operate under its established brand. The firm adds that customers can expect uninterrupted service, an expanded inventory, access to new capabilities and improved logistics solutions.
“This is an exciting new chapter for our team and customers,” MDD General Manager Rod Dehne says. “By joining Thompson Fabrication, we are gaining access to greater resources that will elevate our ability to serve the hauling industry. We look forward to providing improved service to our existing customers while continuing to expand our customer base under a larger platform.
