Thinking Inside the Box

Meese Orbitron introduces its new bulk container, featuring four-way lift truck access.

Meese Orbitron Dunne Co., Ashtabula, Ohio, has introduced its new P-433 Ship Shape bulk container. The P-433 features a design that permits four-way lift truck access in a palletless, reusable container.

With four-way access, the P-433 bulk forklift container enables lift truck drivers to locate fork access points quickly without using their forks to rotate the containers or requiring workers to position the containers manually, the company says. Developed to streamline global, over-the-road and in-plant transport and storage, the bulk shipping container permits faster lifting, loading and unloading for greater efficiency throughout the entire distribution system.

The P-433 bulk is rotationally molded in a single piece of 100 percent weatherproof polyethylene for strength and rigidity, the company says. The container is capable of handling payloads of up to 700 pounds and has a standard footprint 44 inches by 44 inches.

The bulk shipping container is designed for handling dry products, such as scrap materials and recyclables, bulk chemicals and pharmaceuticals, food/beverage ingredients and other loose, granular and powdered products.

The new container stacks two high when filled and covered and nests for efficient storage and return, the company says. A choice of 16 standard plus custom colors are available.
