The Grossman Group Reorganizes

Three separate corporations emerge from corporate restructuring.

Steve Grossman, president of The Grossman Group Inc., a recycler and broker based in Columbus, Ohio, has announced that company’s reorganization.

“Our company and the industry have had dramatic changes over the past few years,” Grossman says. “We have changed our focus from government programs to private partnerships, which we feel offer greater responsiveness and flexibility necessary to compete in today’s environment.”

A new corporation, Industrialbags.com Inc., will continue The Grossman Group’s successful Industrialbags.com division’s business of manufacturing and sales of industrial-strength bagging lumber wrap and other poly materials. The company’s recycling activities, including operations at its plant that is subleased from the Solid Waste Authority of Central Ohio in Columbus are being transferred to Grossman Environmental Recycling Inc. The Grossman Group Inc. will focus on its materials marketing business and environmental consulting while also sharing knowledge gained from its almost 40 years of recycling experience with communities, nonprofit organizations and other organizations that wish to expand their recycling and waste reduction activities.

“Coupled with the intense growth of interest in recycling, we felt each of these three business segments need and deserve a separate corporate structure and resources to facilitate expansion,” Grossman says. “Instead of trying to balance three businesses, our new organization allows each company to devote its full energies to its business.”

He adds, “While this growth will benefit our business, we believe the greatest benefit of our reorganization will be to the communities in which we do business.”
