Texas Cities Seek Paper Recycling Plant

Mexican firm eyes two Texas cities as locations for facility

Copasba, a Mexican-based paper company, is seeking to build a plant somewhere in Texas, and has narrowed its decision to either San Antonio or Seguin, Tex., according to local press reports.

Plans call for the company to produce rolls of recycled paper that could be exported to its existing plant in Mexico.

In the third phase of development, the plant would have at least 260 workers, and produce finished products on-site.

Copasba is expected to make a final decision between the two cities by the end of this year. The cost of the project would be around $42 million.
