TerraCycle, Trenton, New Jersey, has acquired North Coast Services, a New Hampshire-based company specializing in the collection and recycling of universal waste, including electronics, televisions, monitors, universal waste lamps and batteries.
“The acquisition of North Coast Services is an exciting next step in TerraCycle’s journey to reduce waste,” TerraCycle Founder and CEO Tom Szaky says. “We entered the universal waste business in the U.S. in 2016 with the acquisition of Air Cycle Corp., followed by Complete Recycling Solutions in 2023, both of which comprise the foundation of the TerraCycle Commercial Recycling division. With the addition of North Coast Services, we’ve gained a business known for excellent and versatile customer service, with recycling facilities that will complement and enhance our U.S. operations.”

TerraCycle Commercial Recycling offers industrial recycling solutions for universal waste and other hard-to-recycle materials. The division supports companies in meeting regulatory requirements and achieving sustainability goals by managing complex waste streams, including electronics and hazardous materials, TerraCycle says.
North Coast Services was established in 2011 with a focus on identifying and managing Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA) hazardous waste.
“TerraCycle is the perfect partner and shares our mission to provide state-of-the-art solutions for the recycling of universal waste,” North Coast Services Co-founders Tom Fatcheric and Billy Andrews say. “Together, with our combined resources, we will have greater access to expand the reach of our platforms, expand our collective customer base and provide even more comprehensive services to the businesses we serve.”
