Terex Construction Americas, Southaven, Miss., has signed Luby Equipment Services, Fenton, Mo., to distribute the Terex Fuchs material handler line to customers operating in central and southern Illinois, eastern Missouri and northern Arkansas. Luby Equipment now provides full sales, service and parts support for the Terex Fuchs material handler line, which includes models purpose-built for the scrap, recycling, portside and logging industries with 41,888- to 147,710- pound operating weights and working radii from 27 to 72 feet.
“An integral part of the heavy equipment market in this territory for more than 35 years, Luby Equipment has earned a solid reputation for delivering superior service support,” says Chris Koch, Terex Construction Americas sales manager for Terex Fuchs material handlers. “The company has a long history with both scrap and portside applications and has a specialist dedicated solely to Terex Fuchs equipment sales.”
Mike Myslicki, central regional sales manager for Terex Fuchs adds, “Luby Equipment is a welcomed addition to the Terex distributor family.”
The Terex Fuchs material handler line is specifically designed to handle the extreme operating conditions of scrap and recycling applications as well as logging and portside projects. Standard models include durable wheel- and track-driven undercarriage designs, powered by fuel-efficient turbocharged diesel engines meeting current emissions standards. Alternatively, the models can be powered by zero emissions electric motors in either semi-mobile or stationary designs. Modular upper and lower carriage construction allows the machines to be configured to meet customer needs.
“We excel in working with niche market equipment because we have the expertise and provide the focus required to help our customers succeed,” says Ted Rose, vice president of sales for Luby Equipment. “The scrap and portside businesses are key in our territory, and, until now, we modified equipment to meet customer demand for material handling. With the purpose-built Terex Fuchs material handlers, we now have a line specifically designed for scrap and port operations. We look forward to a long relationship with the Terex Fuchs line.”
Luby Equipment has eight offices – three in Illinois, three in Missouri and two in Arkansas. The company offers parts and service support around the clock as well as preventive maintenance contracts. Multiple field service mechanics along with fully equipped service vehicles deliver equipment repairs at the job site when necessary.
Luby also will offer financing options for Terex Fuchs material handlers through Terex Financial Services (TFS).
