China-based consumer electronics manufacturer TCL emphasized its recycling and other sustainability-related efforts at the CES convention in Las Vegas in early January.
The company says it launched its #TCLGreen campaign at the show, saying part of that effort will include continuing to make it easy for its customers to recycle end-of-life products.
TCL, which bills itself as the second largest supplier of televisions in the United States, says it began funding the recycling of electronics products in more than 20 states in America during the previous decade.
Last year, the firm says it funded the recycling of more than 15,000 tons of electronics in the U.S. for its third straight year, reaching a volume of 72,500 tons in the past several years combined.
TCL says it has introduced How2Recycle labeling on several product lines to help make it easier for its customers to properly recycle packaging and to practice responsible disposal. An interactive map on TCL.com also enables consumers to point-and-click to find the nearest electronics drop-off locations.
In the U.S., TCL says it has worked in coordination with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency under its America Recycles Pledge, as well as with state agencies and local communities to advance recycling and education programs.
