Taylor Machine Works Inc. in Louisville, Mississippi, has released the T40-MH material handler, its newest product for the scrap industry. The company says the machine offers the reliability that Taylor has delivered for more than 94 years and will handle the most demanding applications scrap recycling operations encounter. The T40-MH is a 40-metric-ton machine that offers 51 feet of horizontal reach and 56 feet of vertical reach.
Assembled in the U.S., the T40-MH is powered by a Cummins QSB6.7 turbo-charged engine that meets the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency Tier 4 Final emission standards. The cab provides operator comfort and ergonomically positioned controls, and standard features include a hydraulic cab riser with a sliding door and an easy-access platform, Taylor says. Right side and rearview cameras allow the operator to monitor critical areas around the machine while it operates. It also includes an auto-lubrication system that is designed to provide optimal lubrication to key service points and a cab avoidance system to help maintain distance between the machine’s attachments and the operator environment.
TaylorTrak Pro Fleet telematics hardware is designed to ensure comprehensive and flexible remote monitoring and maintenance scheduling.
Several optional features also are available, including a 20-kilowatt Baldor DC generator, a Hubbell magnet controller, a Vision Plus pedestrian detection system, additional topside handrails and a Taylor 57-inch cast steel scrap handling magnet or a 1-cubic-yard orange peel grapple.
The T40-MH is backed by Sudden Service Inc. as well as by authorized Taylor dealers and direct factory store locations across the United States and abroad.
