The Solid Waste Association of North America (SWANA), Silver Spring, Maryland, and the California Resource Recovery Association (CRRA) are seeking an individual or consultant to serve as the contract project manager for the development of a course called “Zero Waste Principles and Practices Certification.”
In a request for proposals (RFP) announcement, the two groups say the contract project manager will be responsible for arranging for the participation of subject matter experts (SMEs) to help develop the course.
“The course must draw from a list of topics provided by SWANA and CRRA,” the two groups say. The project manager and selected SMEs “must also provide a bank of exam questions and participate in the presentation of the pilot course.”
SWANA and CRRA say the maximum amount available for the project, including development of the course and exam, is $75,000 and that “proposed cost is one of the proposal evaluation criteria.”
The two organizations will hold what they say is a mandatory preproposal conference call to describe the project and respond to questions at 2 p.m. EST Thursday, April 9, 2015.
Proposals are due by 6 p.m. EST Friday May 1, 2015, and “must follow the guidelines established in the RFP,” which can be found here.
