SWANA’s Excellence in Solid Waste Management Program was created to acknowledge outstanding programs that are committed to the “environmentally and economically sound management of solid waste.” This year’s winners will be recognized at a luncheon at WASTECON 2003, October 16, 2003, in St. Louis, Missouri.
Dr. John Skinner, SWANA’s executive director and CEO, comments, “These are the organizations that have gone above and beyond in their waste management programs. They are the best of the best and embody SWANA’s mission to advance the practice of environmentally and economically sound municipal solid waste management.”
