Stena Recycling, along with Swedish Shell, are launching a nationwide arrangement to recycle the hazardous material generated at close to 3,000 Shell facilities.
One area that will targeted with the program will be the recycling of used oil and other hazardous material. Further, to improve the safety of transporting oil, the two companies have agreed to a ban on using cell phones while transporting the material to Stena’s recycling facilities.
“The new three-year solution with Stena Recycling creates opportunities for us in the Shell Lubricants to be an even better option overall supplier to the automotive repair shops across the country, "says Jesper Sörensen, senior key account manager at Swedish Shell.
The agreement is expected to cover around 3,000 cubic meters of waste oil per year in workshops across the country. Stena is also committed to providing customers with more workshop transmitter that notifies the filling levels in the tanks of waste oil. This transport efficiency and reduce environmental impact.
