Garner, Iowa-based Stellar Industries unveiled its latest offerings at WasteExpo from May 7-9 in Las Vegas, including the NXT68 Hooklift and a 90,000-pound pull capacity bumper.
The NXT68 hooklift offers a load height of 12.5 inches and can handle 68,000 pounds at 62-inch hook height and 57,000 pounds at the 54-inch hook height. It is available for 16-foot to 22-foot containers.
Stellar also showcased the NXT52 hooklift, tailored to meet the evolving demands of material handling within the waste management and recycling sectors. With 52,000 pounds of capacity and an below-grade hook bar approach, the NXT52 offers efficiency and performance, according to the manufacturer. With a best-in-class 10.5-inch lost load height, this hooklift is designed to accommodate 16-foot to 22-foot bodies for 174-inch to 214-inch CT chassis and features a bolt-on body lock system for the utmost in compatibility and flexibility, making it suitable for a wide range of applications.

Stellar also introduced its electronic joystick control system for its hooklifts at WasteExpo. The new joystick control, available initially on the NXT52, streamlines operations with a single joystick that governs all hooklift functions, the manufacturer says. Engineered for ergonomics, the joystick is mounted on an adjustable base, allowing operators to tailor its positioning for their optimal comfort and ease of use. Plans are underway to extend this control system to additional large Stellar hooklift models.
The company also debuted new standard bumper options for its hooklifts, catering to diverse chassis specifications. With a 20,000-pound pull capacity, the 20K option offers two versions: an economical option using chassis take-off lights and a full version featuring built-in lights. Both offer versatility for Class 3-6 chassis applications. Meanwhile, the 90K option, featured at WasteExpo this year, features built-in lights and 90,000 pounds of pull capacity for Class 7 and 8 chassis applications. Whether bolt-on or weld-on, Stellar says these bumpers underscore its commitment to delivering superior quality and versatility across its product range.
“With the NXT52 and NXT68 hooklifts, alongside our pioneering joystick control system and advanced bumper options, Stellar continues to set new benchmarks for efficiency, performance and reliability in the waste management and recycling industries," says Tim Davison, vice president of sales and marketing at Stellar.
