Walton, Kentucky-based Steinert US has added a new eddy current, the EddyC Fines, to its line of magnetic and sensor sorting equipment. Especially developed for recovering fine nonferrous metals, the EddyC Fines also was designed to allow for a 10-minute belt change.
“Every year, Steinert invests into research and development, and we are very proud of the many updates made to the best-selling eddy current on the market,” says Jason Looman, president of Steinert US.
He adds, “Incorporating many ideas from our customers, the new EddyC Fines is a game-changer for the recovery of fines particles. It’s well-suited for many applications, from incineration bottom ash to ASR (auto shredder residue) and e-scrap, as well as plastic flakes.”
A variety of belt-cleaning options are available, Steinert says, and the new splitter design is ideal for fine grain sorting of materials ranging from 10 millimeters and smaller in size. The lower height and modified edges allow for easier cleaning and maintenance, including a fast and easy 10-minute belt change, the company adds. .
“Our clients will save hours of service time with the new EddyC Fines. The belt can be changed in 10 minutes without requiring additional lifting equipment—all that is required is two employees and some tools,” Looman sats. Steinert US will be exhibiting at the Institute of Scrap Recycling Industries (ISRI) 2017 Convention & Exposition (Booth No. 1901) and WasteExpo (Booth No. 713).
