Germany-based Strautmann Umwelttechnik GmbH says it had a successful exhibition in Stuttgart, Germany, 14-16 March 2017 at LogiMat, with several visitors coming by to visit the company’s AutoLoadBaler.
The AutoLoadBaler features an automatic collection and filling system and is designed for retail stores or distribution centres.
Using a centrally positioned AutoLoadBaler with collection trolleys can save up to 4,000 hours, the company says.
Collection trolleys are placed where cardboard packaging accrues. Employees put the cardboard packaging into the collection trolley and insert it in the baler. Afterward, employees push one button to start the baler and go back to work. During this process, the inserted collection trolley is emptied automatically. A scissor lifting table pushes the bottom of the collecting trolley upwards. The cardboard is gripped by the rotor and then conveyed evenly into the press chamber. With 53 tons of pressing force, the cardboard is compressed into a 400-kilogram bale.
Also on exhibition at LogiMat was Strautmann’s BalePress 10, which is equipped with a hydraulic bale ejector. The company says the unit is suitable for compressing plastic packaging film.
Strautmann balers and briquetting presses optimize disposal in the warehousing, logistics, retail and beverage industries for more than 20 years.
