Wednesday, March 23, Starbucks Coffee Co. hosts its first Brewer Exchange Day in Seattle (at 401 Pine Street In Westlake Park) and New York City (at The Shops at Columbus Circle, 10 Columbus Circle, Second Floor), inviting consumers to trade-in their home coffeemakers -- regardless of brand -- for a special gift that can be used towards the purchase of a new Starbucks home espresso machine or coffee maker during the Annual Brewing Sale, as well as any merchandise sold in a Starbucks store.
Recycle America Alliance ("RAA"), a majority-owned subsidiary of Waste Management, Inc. of Houston, will accept the home brewers brought in by consumers, recycling nearly all of the materials.
