The Pittsburgh Chapter of the Institute of Scrap Recycling Industries Inc. (ISRI) is preparing to host its annual Nickel Stainless Roundtable and Pittsburgh Chapter Consumers Night in September.
The two events will take place on Thursday, Sept. 18 this year at the Hyatt Regency Hotel/Pittsburgh Airport in Pittsburgh.
The Roundtable presentations are scheduled from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m., with the Consumers Night reception and dinner following starting at 5:30 p.m.
Four speakers have been scheduled for this year’s roundtable, including Albert Cozzi, vice chairman and CEO of Metal Management Inc., Chicago. One of North America’s largest scrap companies, Metal Management has been in the news as a potential takeover target for U.K.-based European Metal Recycling Ltd.
Also on the speakers’ roster are Clarence McAninch, president and CEO of Universal Stainless & Alloy Products Inc., Bridgeville, Pa.; Martin Abbott, publisher of American Metal Market, New York; and Larry Pryor, group vice president of Sudamin Corp., New York.
In addition to featuring cocktails, hors d’oeuvres and a dinner, the Consumers Night event will also feature remarks from James Bradley, president and CEO of integrated steelmaker Wheeling Pittsburgh Steel Co., Wheeling, W. Va. The company emerged from bankruptcy in early August nearly three years after declaring Chapter 11 status.
