SSI Shredding Systems, Wilsonville, Ore., reports that it has increased its product focus to deliver cost-effective solutions for product destruction applications.
SSI says its Dual-Shear and Quad shredders are the most versatile and lowest cost solutions for a majority of applications. The Dual-Shear shredder is a two-shaft system that shreds material into strips ranging from 0.5 inches wide to 4 inches wide, depending on the cutter configuration and system. The quad shredder features four shafts and a built-in screen designed to provide more control over the finished particle size.
According to SSI, the low-speed shredders offer low noise as well as minimal maintenance. “Materials or products that contain metal (including steel) are suitable for processing,” SSI states in a press release. “The chance of damage to the shredder even when processing steel is extremely minimal, which makes it a reliable solution,” the company adds.
